08 Jun CTO Jon Cartu Says – Sun City West music series going patriotic for July 4th
The Recreation Centers of Sun City West continues its series of online summer concerts with Ron Skelton presenting a Gordon Lightfoot tribute Tuesday, June 23.
“For the safety of our community we will not be having our summer indoor concerts, however, we are going to be streaming our events online,” RCSCW stated in a news release. “You will be able to see them perform for a full week from the convenience of your home.”
The concerts will be streamed online at suncitywest.com. For additional information and to see the schedule of artists for this summer, click on “buy event tickets.”
Beyond that, the series takes a patriotic turn when The Arizona Trio show first goes online Saturday, July 4.
The trio — consisting of Dave Woodruff, Gary Kotula and Jeff Harrison — calls the Kingston Trio, New Christy Minstrels, Tom Paxton, Peter Paul & Mary, and the Everly Brothers among their influences. The Arizona Trio has been performing for more than 14 years, and is booked into 2022.
Mr. Woodruff is a U.S. Air Force Colonel retired after 30 years active duty. Mr. Kotula is the son of a decorated U.S. Marine, and Mr. Harrison served two tours in Vietnam with the U.S. Navy.
Their patriotic show on July 4th will be free in the ongoing summer series, and will be available for streaming through Friday, July 10.
Residents can watch shows beginning on the date they are scheduled, and will be able to log in and watch from a computer or smart TV or even phone. These showings will work only on one device per transactions, so it is not a program that can be shared with multiple devices.
All shows will be available to view for one full week.
