Lawyer Jonathan Cartu Announced – Presbyterian Manor hosts virtual event for scam protection

Scammers continue to find new ways to prey on victims during the COVID-19 pandemic, so the Presbyterian Manor is offering a virtual event to offer advice on how to avoid getting scammed.

The event is scheduled for September 15 at 10 a.m. and will feature David Greenbaum, owner of DoctorDave Computer Repair in Lawrence. Crystal Stock with the Presbyterian Manor says Doctor Dave will cover a range of technological scams.

Also, the Seminar for Older Kansas, Caregivers is on September 17 and is hosted by the North Central-Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging. Topics will range from Medicare, Durable Powers of Attorney, and how to best help people living with dementia. The event starts at 9:15 a.m. and will last until 2:30 p.m. at the Anderson Building in Emporia.
